On Friday, November 13, SIT Graduate Center and Turkish Cultural Center hosted renowned Turkish artist Aydin Cayir to gave a talk about traditional Turkish calligraphy at SIT Graduate Center. Mr. Cayir presented the historical background, styles and techniques of calligraphy art and also made a live calligraphy performance where he demonstrated various forms of calligraphy.
After the presentation, participants had a chance to receive their personalized calligraphy on marbling-style painted papers.
